Tennis and pickleball season is just around the corner and our new Club Pro Paula Sousa is planning a fabulous program at Roseland with several new adult and junior lineups!

Adult Tune Up and Stroke Clinics
Adult Spring Tune Up!
Starting the week of May 6th. Paula will help get us into shape for the season. 6 week program, one evening per week. The weekly sessions will run on Monday or Wednesday 7-8 PM or Saturday 1-2pm. Fee $85.00 (incl HST) for 6 sessions. Sign up early as space is limited.
Summer Adult Clinics
Starting in July. 6 sessions for $60.00 payable in advance. Sessions will be on Monday or Wednesday from 6-7 PM. Stay and play afterwards.
Ladies! There is lots happening on the courts this season.
You can register for Ladies Doubles Round Robin (Tuesday morning 9-11), A-Level Interclub Doubles (Wednesday morning 9-12 May and June only) and Mixed Doubles Round Robins (Friday morning 9-11am and Saturday morning 8:30-10am)
Gentlemen! Join the rest of the guys on Thursday evenings (8-11) for either singles or doubles and Mixed Doubles Round Robins Friday morning (9-11 am) and Saturday morning (8:30-10 am).
Come out and try the fastest growing racquet sport in Canada. Pickleball! A cross between tennis, badminton, and table tennis, pickleball is played with a paddle and wiffle ball on a court roughly half the size of a tennis court. It’s fun and easy to learn. The game is designed for two, three, or four players. Roseland has 2 courts with pickleball lines. We have Mixed Round Robins on Thursday 9-10:30 am and Sunday 9:30-11 am. We have equipment you can use to try out the game. Please join us.
Junior After-School Program
A great opportunity for our young members to learn and improve their tennis skills and encourage their use of the courts through the summer.
Junior After School Program is 6 sessions on the court with Paula, our Club Pro. Sessions begin Monday May 6th for 6 weeks. You may choose your preference for one of 3 days of the week – Monday, Wednesday or Saturday.
Jr. Ages 5-7 Mon., Wed. 4:15-5 PM, Sat. 10:15-11 AM
Jr. Ages 8-10 Mon., Wed. 5-6 PM, Sat. 11-12 PM
Jr. Ages 11-16 Mon., Wed. 6-7 PM, Sat. 12-1 PM
Fee is $75.00 (incl. HST) payable upon registration. Only 6 spots available for each session, so register early to guarantee your child’s participation. To register, email the Tennis Committee at email@example.com.
Junior Round Robin
Junior round robin is open to all ages who can serve, rally and play.

Junior Summer Camps
Mark your calendars for this year’s Summer Junior Tennis Camp.
Paula and her team will be running the camps the week of July 9th and July 23rd and August 13th. The camp will run Monday to Wednesday, 9-noon, with rain dates on Thursday and Friday if needed.
The sessions include tennis lessons, games, prizes, refreshments and loads of fun with qualified instructors.

The Roseland Club’s resident Tennis Pro offers all age lessons, clinics and children’s summer programs to help players improve their skills. To register for lessons, email Paula Sousa at email@example.com. Lessons and clinics are available to members only.
Paula Sousa is Roseland’s Tennis Pro and has accumulated over 22 years of expertise in teaching tennis to juniors and adults of all ages. Ranked as Number 7 in Ontario by the Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) and certified as a Level 2 Club Pro and Level 2 National Coach, Paula is dedicated to offering tailored programs to meet your needs and tennis goals.
Paula can assist you in further developing your skills in private or group lessons. She is also a certified wheelchair tennis instructor and is enthusiastic to aid any and all clients in learning to enjoy the sport.
Paula has been honing her mastery of tennis since the age of 25 and holds a firm belief that you can start learning, playing and enjoying tennis at any age. Paula is recognized as a Champion in the Women’s 2019 Eastern Canadian Nationals in Doubles, as well a Finalist in the Women’s 2019 Eastern Canadian Nationals in Singles in her age bracket. Throughout the year, Paula is committed to enrolling in courses to sharpen her abilities as well as ensure that she can provide the very best to all of her clientele.
